I'm amazed [27 Sep 2010|02:00pm]

Trent Edwards has been released.

Yeah, he sucked. But he went from starter to cut in 3 weeks. Holy crap!

They just said on the radio that the team plans to re-sign Levi brown, so they'll still be carrying 3 QB's.

A press conference is scheduled for 3:00pm EST.

Dear all members of the Buffalo Bills organization:

Please don't let McKelvin return kicks ever again.

Sincerely

Bills Fans everywhere.

Dear Mr. Leodis McKelvin:

Please ask to be removed from the Hands team ASAP. Also next time with the game on the line please don't try to be a cleebrity and run the kick out of the endzone. Just think of the team and not yourself and take a knee when you are 5 yards deep in the endzone.

Thank You,

Bills Fans Everywhere

PS. Thank you for costing us the game

Draft review. Sorry it's late, I originally posted it to my LJ yesterday and forgot to x-post... [28 Apr 2009|02:17pm]

1st Round:

#11 - Aaron Maybin, Defensive End, Penn State

Pros: Best pass rusher in the draft
Cons: Undersized, though he has bulked up impressively over the past couple of months. Not Orakpo.

Verdict: Now that I've seen the pictures of him with the extra muscle mass I'm happy with the pick. Only 8lbs lighter than Bruce Smith in his prime, he could add that by training camp. B+

In Memoriam [26 Mar 2009|11:07am]

One of our community members, ironman1180, passed away last night. He didn't make many comments here, but he was always a vocal Bills fan over on nflfans and had become a fixture in the weekly IRC chats that those guys organised, where from around week 7 last year the two of us would try and describe exactly how bad the Bills had become in comparison to their early season form. I didn't really know him, but when I was talking to him about football, and any other subject that came up during those chats, it seemed like we'd been friends for a long time. I'll miss having the chance to talk with him in the future, but I know that every Sunday from September through to the end of the season he'll be looking down on the Bills and wondering "How can we screw this up this week?"

RIP

1 year.

$6.5 million.

I can live with that - either he makes us better or he finishes off Brandon, Modrak and Jauron in Buffalo for good. Win-win situation.

I wonder how he'll feel about Chris Brown saying Lee Evans is the Bills #1 receiver in the article about his signing?

Bills have tendered Freddy Jackson, which ensures they hold his rights for another year.

Jackson isn't happy though, as he believes he is worth much more than the $460,000 tender offer.

Hopefully this is just a stop-gap to ensure they retain his rights and they'll offer him a multi-year deal, but knowing Ralph for the cheap bastard he is it's probably going to be the only offer they make him.

Oh, and they offered Greer 5 years, $20 million. Unsurprisingly Greer told them where they could stick that offer and is looking for closer to $8 million per year.

So it seems... [18 Feb 2009|11:36am]

That the search of the car was legit as the car was pulled over for traffic violations and the police could smell pot (and discovered some in the car), however the police are describing it as a minor incident which will be dealt with by the DA's office before the end of the week. I think Lynch will get a slap on the wrist as far as the law is concerned, but it's looking like a minimum four game suspension from the NFL.

I knew the Bills should have tied up Fred Jackson's contract during the season, now he has an excellent bargaining position, and if they don't get a deal done and he lights things up when Lynch is out he'll cost an absolute fortune. I'd like the Bills to take a look at Fred Taylor if Lynch does get a hefty suspension, he'd be a great change of pace back with Jackson, and he knows he isn't going to start anywhere so he shouldn't be too expensive.

Lynch needs to sort himself out, he seems to be more like a good kid who does dumb things that put him in bad situations, but he has to remember that as a professional athlete he has a responsibility to his team-mates, coaches and fans.

Still, at least he didn't stab anyone.

The Bills Should Listen to their Fans [14 Feb 2009|11:37pm]

Is everyone mentally retarded in this discussion board? Ray Lewis has basically made the Ravens the second best defense in the league single-handedly for the last decade. This is why the Bills suck, they must listen to their idiot fans. Who gives a shit if he's a murderer. Sign Michael Vick AND Ray Lewis and the Bills will make the Super Bowl.
